Bulldozers Defeat Astros

Dozers' Early Lead Paves Path to Victory

Updated Saturday April 8, 2017 by Greg Rapisarda.

The Bulldozers' energy and optimism fueled the team on this chilly Saturday as they rode an early lead to a 7-2 victory over the Astros. The Bulldozer bats were on fire, with eight hits in the game. Eli's fielder's choice in the first inning gave the Bulldozer's their first run.  Billy and Charlie led the Bulldozers with multiple hits each. The base running was also fantastic, as evidenced by an amazing 15 stolen bases! Five players stole more than one and Connor led the way with five!  The Bulldozers pitching was top notch with 14 strikeouts over 6 innings! Sam and Connor struck out 3 each, while Eli, David, Lawton, and Jack knocked down 2 each.  It's early in the season, but the Bulldozers are looking good.  If they continue to focus on sportsmanship, playing well, supporting each other, and having fun, tere is little doubt there will be more "Ws" in their future.
